5 Easy Tips to Practice Islam in Daily life

Maximum people misconceive the idea of practicing Islam as believing in and practicing five Pillars of Islam only i.e. Believing in oneness of Allah, Offering five prayers a day, fasting in the month of Ramadan, giving zakat of their wealth to help the needy and doing the pilgrimage of Hajj at least once in a life time if you have the finances. Off course these rituals are an integral part of practicing Islam and cannot be ignored or compromised at but Islam has much more to it than these only. Now we would discuss the methods by which we can convert our daily routine tasks into “Ibaadat” of Allah.

How Can We Turn Routine Tasks into Ibaadat?

Islam guides us to perform each and every simple chore of our daily routine in a way that it becomes a mean to gain Allah almighty’s approval. The simple chores of eating, sleeping, earning, spending time with your family or friends etc. can all become IBAADAAT if done with intention of pleasing Allah. As narrated by Abu Hafs Umer bin Alkhattab (R.A) that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, “Actions are according to intentions and everyone would get what was intended”.

Whatever you do if you make an intention of pleasing Allah with that action it becomes an Ibaadat and a source of gaining Allah’s pleasure. We’ll give you ten simple examples that how we can please Allah through our daily chores:

  1. When you work to earn halal money with intention of pleasing Allah almighty it becomes an Ibaadat.
  2. Similarly when you are spending time with your family, make an intension that you want to please Allah through this action and it will become an Ibaadat. When a married girl visits her parents she should visit with the intention that Allah Subhana-o- Taala will be pleased by this action. This intension will turn it into an Ibaadat and she will be rewarded for every minute she spends with her parents.
  3. Doing ablution before sleeping turns the whole time of sleep into an Ibaadat.
  4. Raising your children in the light of Islamic teachings and to please Allah will turn this action into an Ibaadat and a source of reward for you on the day of judgement.
  5. Feeding an animal, taking a stone out of some ones path, helping others in performing their task, meeting relatives, going on a funeral, asking after an unwell friend’s health these are all the tasks which almost every one of us do in our daily routine but doing all these tasks with the intension of pleasing Allah almighty turns them in to Ibaadat.

There is no limit to the number of small errands which you can turn into Ibaadat by simply intending that these tasks will please Allah almighty. Islam has a prescribed way to do each and every task no matter how trivial the task may be. If we do these routine tasks in the prescribed way and with the intension of pleasing Allah, our every action will become Ibaadat and a source of eternal reward for us.
