How significant is the blessed month of Rabi ul Awwal
Rabiul-Awal is the third month in the Islamic calendar , that is the most significant month for the Muslims around the world.
As it is the birth month of our beloved Holy prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). The last prophet of Allah almighty was born on 12th Rabiual-awal who is the mercy to all the worlds – Rehamt-Ullil-almean and who led the human beings to the righteous path of Allah . The Muslims who follow Sunni belief observe Milad-un-nabi on 12th of Rabiul-awal where as Shia Muslims believe him to have been born on the dawn of the 17 the day of this holy month.
In different countries celebrations are done in differently. In Pakistan the celebrations start with the sight of moon and continue till the end of this month. It is celebrated festively here, people following to different fiqah commemorate in their own way . Mahafil of naat are arranged and darood-o-Salam is recited with great devotion and love in mosques and house.
The teachings and doctrines of Holy prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) are taught that provide a perfect code of life. Mosques ,houses and roads are illuminated and streets are decorated with colorful flags . Sweets are distributed and meals are cooked at large scale to feed.
- It is not the month of Hazrat Muhammad’s birth but also has much importance in the history of Islam as the Holy prophet started his journey of hijrah towards Madina, was taken place in this auspicious month.
- The first mosque in the history of Islam Masjid-e-Quba was also built in the same month. First jumma prayer was established in this sacred month.
- Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) also got married to Bibi Khadijah bin khuwaylid in this holy month.
