Importance Of Ayat al Qursi
Ayat ul Qursi explains that All Almighty is eternal, imperishable, Self Sustaining and Self-Subsisting. In essence, He is always alert and awake or else the Universe will cease to exist. He doesn’t feel boredom as He takes great interest in His creation. How owns everything and is the Lord of the Day of Judgment. Basically, we should worship Allah Almighty and seek His help in all matters or affairs. He is the source of all knowledge. Considering over the meaning of Ayat ul Qursi opens elusive knowledge and secrets of the Universe in our hearts, which is essential in a time when the forces of atheism are powerful than ever. The reason why it is the most important and excellent chapter of Quran is that, this verse mentions the names of Allah Almighty more than any other verse. In it, Allah Almighty’s name has mentioned for seventeen times. Ayat al Kursi mentions six attributes of Allah Pak and all six being are mentioned only in the single verse. The attributes mentioned are the divine Oneness of Allah Almighty, Hid knowledge, His Divine Power, His Life and His Will.
Once Holy Prophet (PBUH) asked Abu Mundhir who was the companion of Holy Prophet (PBUH) that: “O Ubayy! What is the most excellent verse of the Quran?? Ubayy replied, ?Allah and His Messenger know best.? The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, ?In your opinion, what is the most excellent verse of the Quran?? Ubayy bin Ka?b replied, ?Allah ? There is no god but He?(i.e. Ayat al-Kursi). The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) placed his hand on his chest and said, ?O Ubayy bin Ka?b! May your knowledge be pleasant for you?

- Holy prophet (PBUH) said:
“Whoever recites the first 4 ayats of Surah al-Baqarah, then Ayat al Qursi and then the last 3 ayats of Surah al-Baqarah, will not be inflicted with any kind of difficulty in his wealth or himself, Satan will not come near him and he will not forget the Quran.”
- One who recites Ayat al Kursi every morning will be in the safety and protection of Allah until the night.
- For those people who have passed away, recitation of Ayat al Kursi and giving it as Hadiyeh to them, gives them light (noor) in the grave.
- If someone recites it once while leaving home, The Allah Almighty has one group of Angels to come and protect them. If it is recited twice, 2 groups of Angels are assigned to do this and if it is recited 3 times, Allah Almighty tells the Angels not to worry as He himself takes care of him.
- When one is alone in the house, reciting Ayat al Kursi and asking help from Allah will make that person remain calm and he/she will not fear.
- One who recites it after every prayer, their prayer will be accepted, and they will remain in the safety of the Allah Almighty and He will protect them.
- The Holy Prophet has said: “If one recites Ayatul Kursi before going to sleep, Allah will send an Angel to come and look after that and protect Him for whole night”
- Allah told Prophet Musa (a.s): If a person recites it after every salat, the Almighty will make his heart a thankful one and will give him a reward of the prophets, and his deeds will be like those of the truthful.
- It brings countless blessings when recited and blown upon any drink and food.
