What should be our sole Purpose in Ramadan
All thanks to Allah Almighty who has blessed us with witnessing another Ramadan this year. Holy Prophet PBUH said that our actions are judged by their ending. So at the last day of Ramadan, when we start preparing for EidulFitr, we should also make sure that we end this beautiful month in a great way. Following are these ways with which we should end this blessed month:
Repentance
We should end Ramadan by returning to Allah SWT in a state of repentance and humility. We must seek forgiveness of Allah Almighty and repent to Him because we know that our good deeds are not enough and we know that we have wronged ourselves and other people.
Repentance to Allah SWT is a reminder that He is the One who guided us to right deeds and we have no idea if He will accept these deeds from us. It is strongly recommended that when we do any deed, we end it with seeking forgiveness from Allah SWT. We should also seek forgiveness after completing our prayers.
Gratitude
We Muslims should end this month in a state of gratitude to Allah Almighty. He says:
“… to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which he has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.”
We should thank Allah Almighty for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us during this blessed month. He gave us the health and the ability to fast, to increase our good deeds, and to pray. He blessed us to be among such people who worshipped Him.
Gratitude is a trait of us that is highlighted throughout the Sunnah and Quran. We even see that when any believer enters Paradise (https://www.quran-o-sunnat.com/11-easiest-ways-to-enter-paradise-jannah/), they announce officially:
Praise to Allah Almighty who has guided us to this and we would never have been guided if He had not guided us.
Being grateful to Allah Pak and thanking Him reminds us to be respectful and humble because we would never have had the opportunity to do anything good or not have received anything good without the help of Allah SWT.
Intention to Change
We Muslims should end Ramadan with the intention to continue praying, fasting, and doing good deeds. It is the month of change that is meant to give us a spiritual cleansing that will remain with us the entire year.
Do not be that person who intends to return to their old routine once the Ramadan ends. Ask Allah SWT, who guided you to worship Him in this blessed month to help you continue in doing good deeds and in your worship. Remember that Ramadan will leave us but the One who created this beautiful month will never leave because He is everlasting.
