The root of the word Islam

The root of the word Islam is taken from the Arabic word “Salam” meaning peace.

One will often hear Muslims respectfully address each other when either meeting or leaving greets with ألسلام عليكم, meaning: “May the peace of Allah be upon you”. These are strong words, carrying deep meaning.
